An extension of the Spelman College Glee Club, The Spelman College Chamber Singers is a 20- to 24-voice ensemble focusing primarily on chamber music from various eras, accompanied and unaccompanied. Occasionally, the repertoire reaches beyond chamber music and into other genres such as jazz and blues.

The Chamber Singers choral ensemble was developed as an advanced choral experience for music majors and minors whose concentration is in vocal performance.

The Chamber Singers perform a concert in collaboration with the Spelman College Glee Club during the annual Spring Tour and Spring Concert. The Chamber Singers will often perform at various venues to represent the Glee Club.

Membership in the Chamber Singers is by invitation only, usually music majors, minors, and occasionally the exemplary glee club member. Members must be able to sight-sing at an advanced level and interpret the music according to its era.  Members of the Chamber Singers must also have membership in the Spelman College Glee Club. The ensemble rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm during the Spring Semester.
